How to Join

Membership into the Knights of Columbus is not automatic. To be considered for membership all candidates must meet two minimum criteria:

  1. Must be a male at least 18 years of age.
  2. Must be a practical Catholic.

If the above criteria is met a membership application (Form 100) is completed by your local council. Along with the application a membership and initiation fee should be included (this varies by council) and turned into your Council’s Grand Knight or Financial Secretary.

Once the application is received, the membership will vote on the candidates consideration for membership. If accepted, the candidate will be scheduled to attend a First Degree Ceremony at their council or a local council.

Upon completing the First Degree Ceremony the candidate officially becomes a member of the Knights of Columbus.
